SÁROSPATAK
THE SECOND BLOOMING OF RENAISANCE IN THE TIME OF PERENYIS AND OF RAKOCZIS

Sárospatak is a superb example of the flowery Renaissance. The golden years of these buildings, the 15th to 17th century, are linked to the Perenyi and the Rakoczi families (Bokályos House, Sub Rosa, the loggia). We would like to present north-east Hungarian, late Renaissance objects of the landlords giving you a glimpse into the historical role played by Sárospatak and its landlords, and also into the landscape design and lifestyle of those times with the monumental late Renaissance stone carvings in the garden.
